WHO

WE ARE

  • We’re Ya Ya Mandarin Seeds, a super fun Mandarin program for young kids!

  • We’ve been singing and learning Mandarin with NYC families since 2008!

  • Our teachers are native Mandarin speakers and specially trained to work with little ones. We create our own songs and love helping kids (and grownups!) fall in love with Mandarin through music and play.

BAO BAO

WHAT IS

  • "Bao Bao" means “baby” in Mandarin (寶寶, 宝宝, bǎobao).

  • So when we say this class is for Bao Bao, we mean it’s made just for babies and toddlers — soft songs, gentle movement, and playful moments that match their age and stage.

  • It’s all about making your Bao Bao feel safe, happy, and ready to explore the joy of music and language!

CLASS

ABOUT THE

  • This is a 45-minute Mandarin & Music class for babies and toddlers (birth to age 2) and their grownups.

  • It’s a “Grownup & Me” style class —> you and your little one participate together!

  • You’ll sing, clap, move, and laugh along with our original Mandarin songs, created just for young children.

🎶 The whole class is in Mandarin — it’s like stepping into a music class in a Mandarin-speaking country!
🧸 No Mandarin experience needed — we welcome families from all backgrounds.
📱 You’ll get a digital link to all the songs so you can keep the music going at home.

Best of all? When grownups have fun in class, little ones do too — it helps you bond and makes learning even more joyful!

Families Love our Bao Bao Singalong!

Loved this class! Best music class I’ve been too. Don’t need any mandarin very informative and easy to follow with shapes and familiar tunes. Clare was awesome! Will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed it. Will definitely go back. My daughter jumped right in and was speaking some Mandarin words during her first class. She enjoyed the music too. The teacher was perfectly encouraging to the kids.

This was amaaazing. My daughter is only 18 weeks old but she was awake and engaged the entire 45 minutes. My husband doesn't speak Mandarin, but he picked up a few words!

Class was good. Teacher had controlled the tempo of the class very well and kept the kids interested. My daughter was shy at the beginning, but she got into the music and activities over the course of class and had fun!
