Back in 2008, two NYC mamas gathered a few toddlers and friends in a cozy yoga studio for Mandarin music classes. What started as playful “Mommy & Me” sessions — now known as Bao Bao Singalong — quickly grew into something much bigger. Families kept coming back, and little by little, Ya Ya Mandarin Seeds blossomed into a full enrichment program for children of all ages — from babies and toddlers to preschoolers and elementary kids.
For more than a decade, “Ya Ya” (as families lovingly call it) has become a part of hundreds of children’s childhoods — helping them learn Mandarin in ways that feel joyful, natural, and lasting. The progressive Ya Ya teaching model and curriculum that shaped these enrichment classes later became the foundation of Ya Ya Preschool.
Today, our enrichment classes for babies, toddlers, and big kids continue with the same heart, intention and spirit that first grew in that little yoga studio many years ago. These classes are now offered at Ya Ya Preschool and select partner locations.
