Field Trips
Field trips are perfect opportunities for children to connect with their community and extend their topic studies beyond the classroom walls. Our youngest learners visit neighborhood places such as grocery stores, and our older 3s and PreK students are able to take the subway to further explore the city.
Why Field Trips Matter
With the goal of involving children in learning as much as possible, we firmly believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Field trips give children the chance to connect what they’re learning in school to the real world, sparking curiosity and creating lasting memories. These shared experiences also strengthen friendships and foster independence.

New York City as Our Extended Classroom
Located in the heart of downtown Manhattan, we have the luxury of using New York City as a vibrant, living classroom. From parks and museums to farms and cultural sites, our children explore the richness of the city while deepening their understanding of language, culture, and community.
Where We’ve Been
Our past field trips have included visiting Battery Urban Farm to taste fresh greens and learn about composting, observing bugs and critters at the American Museum of Natural History, and ordering food in Mandarin at a Chinese restaurant and enjoying lunch there with our friends. Each trip inspires new questions, discoveries, and stories children bring back to school.
